Falling Angel of Defiance

I saw this coming out a bit differently, but I saw bobbistock's image and imagined a falling angel not being stripped of her wings, but actually HANDING them to heaven's officials saying, "Here, I don't want them."
(I imagined some sort of romance subplot behind that. - "If I can't be with him as an angel, I'll be with him as a fallen. Here, take my wings, I don't want them.")
